Sad day in Birdman's world...

Last night, my grandfather, Georgie Russell "Papaw" Fleming," passed away peacefully at the age of 94. October 1st would have been 95, so it is safe to say he had a full and rich life. Please keep my family and I in your thoughts and/or prayers.

Also, cheer me up by attending Thursday Night Thunder/Hairy Karaoke at Savoy tonight. I always love seeing your smiling faces.

First day of Fall semester (for me, at least)!

Today was the second day of classes at EMU, and my first as a full-time student in a long time, and it was pretty great. I'm excited to have something to focus on besides work. Speaking of which....


TONIGHT!!!! Savoy's Hairy Karaoke is Late Night again! Team Ethic is playing their first show, and is joined by Derby Mama in the Thursday Evening Early Show, and HK will follow at 11!!! I miss all your faces (and voices) and can't wait to see what the first karaoke of the semester will bring!

Seriously, here it is. My name is Matt, people call me Birdman, and I live, work, and get educated in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This is my blog.
